| Tasting Note | BH 92/100 (2012) An ultra-fresh yet quite ripe nose features aromas of both red and dark cherry, rose petal, pomegranate and warm earth scents. There is imposing volume to the broad-shouldered, powerful and intense medium weight plus flavors that possess a solid muscularity yet manage to avoid rusticity on the impressively long, firm and well-balanced finish. Note that while this is certainly very firm the supporting sap is such that this could probably be approached with pleasure after only 6 to 8 years. WS 92/100 (2010) A pretty version, with concentrated flavors of cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry confronting a solid, well-integrated backbone of acidity and tannins. The long aftertaste features a balance of fruit and structure. |
