Aromas of lead pencil shavings, damp earth, forest floor, sweet currant and berry fruit, along with hints of smoke and herbs jump from the glass of this medium-bodied, fresh, savory, supple-textured effort. Consume it during its first decade of life. WS 86/100 Shows earth and spice character, with plum and berries. Medium-bodied, with light tannins and a simple finish. Best from 2011 through 2014. NM 85/100 The 2006 Les Pagodes de Cos has a rather lackluster bouquet with thin red berry fruit, soy and earthy aromas.
