| Tasting Note | BH 90-93/100 (2008) A mild application of wood sets off ripe and notably spicy fruit aromas that slide gracefully into dense, powerful and quite serious broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration that helps to buffer the very firm, even strict finish that is linear and impressively long. The tannins are quite prominent though Ollivier told me that he was in all likelihood going to fine the Bonnes Mares and thus their prominence should be reduced. My range offers the benefit of the doubt that the fining will beneficial. Occasionally when information is transferred from the Issues to the database errors are created. |
