| Tasting Note | BH 93/100 (2012) A brooding, pungently earthy and very serious nose of gorgeously complex and ripe red and black currant, cassis and underbrush scents that are trimmed in gentle wood. The broad-shouldered and equally reserved big-bodied flavors possess excellent volume as well as an explosively long and markedly firm finish where the supporting tannins are already well-integrated. This is bigger and richer than the Lavaut but not necessarily more complex though again it may develop more in time as this is very clearly built to age. |
