Tasting Note eRobert Parker by Neal Martin (eRP / WA) 92-94/100 - Vintage 2012
The 2012 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from two parcels, 44 and 88-year old. This is a step-up in complexity over the Charmes-Chambertin with a broodier, more introspective but perhaps more compelling set of aromatics. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, very fine acidity, touches of dark cherry, cold black tea and bergamot that lead to a spicy, almost understated finish in contrast to the nose. This will be a charmer.

Wine Spectator (WS) 94/100 - Vintage 2012
Very aromatic, boasting floral, cherry, sandalwood and tobacco aromas and flavors. Supple and vibrant, with all the components in the right place. The finish is juicy and full of energy. Best from 2019 through 2033. - BS

BH 92-95/100  - Vintage 2012
A ripe but airy nose of cool black cherry, spice and gentle earth nuances introduces round, delicious and highly refined medium-bodied flavors that possess fine mid-palate density. There is an attractive suppleness to the highly complex, balanced and gorgeously long finish. This is a Chapelle of understatement and harmony that delivers stunningly good depth.
