| Tasting Note | RP 92/100 This full-bodied, modern-styled St.-Emilion offers a sensational perfume of smoky barbecue, jammy black currants, kirsch, licorice, and a touch of pain grille. Fleshy, savory, and full-bodied, it has shed much of its tannin, but still possesses abundant structure. It is an intense, modern-styled, mouthfilling, sumptuous, attention-getting wine to drink over the next decade. WS 89/100 Slightly herbal, with berry and tobacco character. Full-bodied, chewy and rich, with a velvety and medium fruity finish. Very extracted. A bit too much for me, but very good. Best after 2007. NM 88/100 It is a long time since I encountered this Saint Emilion. The nose has certainly opened up in recent years with offers blackberry, liquorice and cassis aromas, although you wish it would give you more. The palate has a powerful entry with a lot of extracted fruit.
