| Tasting Note | eRobert Parker / Wine Advocate : 90-92/100 (Vintage 2014) The Château Olivier Blanc 2014 has much more complexity on the nose compared to its red counterpart: mineral-rich citrus fruit with Granny Smith apples and freshly cut pear. The palate is vibrant and animated with an almost shrill opening: a killer line of acidity (reminiscent of Domaine de Chevalier Blanc!) and an almost Muscadet-like, marine-influenced finish. This is a great white Olivier to enjoy over the next 20 years. Wine Spectator : 91/100 (Vintage 2014) Very engaging, with shortbread, lemon curd, white peach and gooseberry notes that have a vibrant interplay, showing richness and zip. A quinine echo adds range on the finish. Drink now through 2019. |
