Tasting Note eRobert Parker / Wine Advocate : 88/100 (Vintage 2012) Tasted blind at the Southwold 2012 tasting. The 2012 Château Olivier Blanc has an exuberant bouquet of Granny Smith apples, kiwi fruit and greengage, nicely defined with satisfying focus. The palate is fresh on the entry with fine delineation, citric fruit on the entry, sharp and "tangy," but it needs a little more depth and pulls up a little short. But otherwise, there is personality and charm to this white Pessac-Léognan. Tasted January 2016. WS 92/100 (Vintage 2012) A focused, steely style, with a chiseled thyme and savory edge running along a rapierlike core of chamomile, quinine, white peach and yellow apple fruit. Shows solid zip and depth, and should age well. This estate has delivered superb back-to-back whites in '11 and '12. Best from 2015 through 2019.
