Tasting Note | Robert Parker RP 89/100 - Vintage 2010 The 2010s can be drunk now or cellared for a decade. Both cuvees possess more intensity and richness than their 2011 counterparts. The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape, a blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 12% Mourvedre and the rest Cinsault from 45- to 90-year-old vines, reveals plenty of balsam wood, Provencal herbs, pepper and kirsch liqueur. It is an attractive, seductive, medium to full-bodied 2010 to enjoy over the next decade. Wine Spectator WS 87/100 - Vintage 2010 High-toned at first, with notes of cherry, plum preserves and red currant, pushed by darker flavors of red licorice, toast and fruitcake. A bit trim overall, held in check by a hint of bread dough. JM Jancis Robinson 18/20 - Vintage 2010 - When to drink: 2016 to 2030 Dark, glowing crimson. Bright berry fruit on the nose – even a hint of strawberries. Very rich and voluptuous fruit envelopes the tannins. Really vivacious and complete. Lingering finish.
