Tasting Note eRobert Parker / WA : 89/100 Neal Martin The 2013 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Sous Frétilles has a pleasant crab-apple, fresh pear-scented bouquet that takes time to unfold from the glass. The palate is fresh on the entry with orange zest and a touch of pineapple, displaying more depth than the village cru with a mango and lychee-tinged finish. Simply delicious, but one I would prefer to broach in the short rather than longer-term. Burghound (BH) : 89/100 Allen Meadows A more expressive nose offers up notes of apple, pear, floral and wet stone hints. Here too there is good energy to the delicious, intense and slightly more structured medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a linear and slightly austere finish. This will need a few years of bottle age to flesh out and unwind as it's tight at the moment. Wine Maker Tasting Note : Nice pale yellow and limpid colour. The nose displays exceptionally fresh fruits of citrus and pear accompanied with notes of minerality. Extremely delicate palate with characteristics of floral and fruits. Will match perfectly with fish in sauce or marinated terrines.
