Firm and dense, presenting a lingering aftertaste of briar and leaving a lasting chalky sensation. Best from 2017 through 2027. BH 90/100 (2011) An overtly spicy nose of very fresh, cool and airy aromas of red berries and dark currants gives way to highly energetic, delicious and mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess a seductive texture before culminating in a linear, intense and lingering finish where the supporting acidity is sufficiently prominent to be somewhat drying. Like the Les Hervelets my score offers the benefit of the doubt that this will harmonize with a few years of bottle age. |
