| Tasting Note | RP 86/100 - - VINTAGE 2014 The 2014 Moulin-Rouge has a potent bouquet with ample blackberry and wild strawberry scents, plenty of violet and boysenberry jam aromas developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet, saturated tannin. The acidity is well judged and there is plenty of sinew here. There is some dryness on the tobacco-driven finish but I think there is sufficient fruit to pull this through. Let's see how this ages. WS 86/100 - VINTAGE 2014 Direct, with a good mix of red and black currant fruit laced liberally with savory and bay accents. Juicy energy through the finish. Drink now through 2019 WE 86/100 - VINTAGE 2014 This is firm with dry tannins and a concentrated dense texture. It is more about structure than fruit and it is likely to remain dry. The acidity at the end does give a final lift. |
